Impact Hub Hamburg inspires, enables and connects people who want to create positive change in the world, and offers spaces for coworking, offices, workshops and events. In addition, Impact Hub Hamburg is part of a global network of over 25,000 people in 100+ communities in 60+ countries across 5 continents. After Impact Hub Hamburg had been operating for three years without a clearly defined brand identity, we were asked to develop the branding.

The strategy and positioning process began with understanding the vision of the founders and team and merge it with the needs of the existing community. Everyone should find themselves reflected in the brand identity. The subsequent goal of the communication and storytelling was to address new target groups and bring Impact Hub Hamburg into the public spotlight.

It takes a deep understanding of positioning to build a brand identity that not only feels right in the here-and-now and appeals to all stakeholders and target groups, but can thrive in the long term. Every element of visual identity and verbal tonality must be thought out and aligned, and we achieved that through our collective expertise in this project.

We had the opportunity to work closely with Impact Hub Global’s brand management and go through the concept behind their modular building-block principle of corporate design. With these insights, we developed a thoughtful and sophisticated brand identity for Impact Hub Hamburg that is used internationally as a best practice reference for Impact Hubs.
